ABOUT SOLE SPECIFIC

 

My name is Rick and I have been involved in the footwear industry since my college days in the late 90's. I was always a sneaker collector but it wasn't until I started working in a running specialty store that I became familiarized with all the technology that sneakers had and how they can vary from one model to the next.

 

It was my job to become educated and well versed in the latest models and technologies that were constantly changing in the industry in order to better help customers in selecting the perfect shoe for their needs. 

 

Since then, I have become obsessed with sneakers and being able to test and dissect them... Which has led me to where I am now.

 

Part of my footwear journey was getting the opportunity to do shoe reviews and wear testing for 4 years along with working for some well known brands like Adidas, Reebok and Clarks. Some of my reviews have been published on Hypebeast.com and Weartesters.com.
